In this section, you will be expected to define and differentiate the concepts of conservation planning, monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Further, you will be expected to familiarize yourself with the importance of planning, planning tools and methods, conservation plan outlines, and conservation plan implementation. It is important to note that conservation planning is not value-neutral, as it must deliberately assess and address who participates, whose voices are prioritized, and who benefits. This would include, among others, women, youth, indigenous peoples, and marginalized groups. Throughout this module, we have highlighted areas where equity and gender considerations should be applied.
